MEGCILLIN 4.5 Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combination of Piperacillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic) and Tazobactam (a β-lactamase inhibitor). Piperacillin kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. Tazobactam prevents bacterial resistance by inhibiting β-lactamase enzymes.
